Tana was entered into a Hot Wheels race with her Cubbies class. Tana was very excited to go and race her little Lightning McQueen race car. Okay, it was really Chase's car! Her car was not the fastest, but she still got a ribbon for participating. She was so excited!
Kailey entered into a pine derby race with her Sparks class. With daddy's assistance, they came up with a design. Daddy cut it out and Kailey helped sand it, paint it (blue her favorite color) and put glitter on it. After it all dried, she put flower stickers all over it!

She was so excited to race. There were 26 heats with 4 cars racing in each heat. Kailey's car raced in approximately 5 heats. The top three fastest cars got trophies and then there were judges that placed the top three best designs. She did very well for her first pine derby; however she did not place in any of the top three. Plus, she was a great sport about it. Mommy & Daddy now know what to expect at these races.
Overall, it was a lot of fun! Chase had fun watching the cars race and cheered on everyone! Can't wait till next year!
