He finally arrived!! On March 25, 2010, at 1:51 p.m., Diesel Creed Ferguson was born. He weighed eight pounds and eight ounces and was twenty-one inches long.

Diesel is now ten days old and everyone has adjusted very well.

Awana's Pine Derby Race

Awana's had their annual Pine Derby race. The girls were really excited to participate again this year.

Since Tana is a Cubbie, instead of having a pine derby car, they raced Hot Wheels cars. Tana took her time picking out the right one for the race and then we had to wait, till the race! When the race day came, she was very excited to participate. Tana came in second place on the first heat and then third place on the second heat. It was too cute to see her run after her car, down the track, to the finish line to see how her car did. Awesome job Tana! Next year, it will be pine derby racing time for her, she can't wait!Now with Kailey in the Pine Derby race, there was a lot more time and effort in her car. We got the pine block and then Kailey picked out a design she wanted the car to look like. After drawing the design on the block and with Kailey's approval, her and daddy went and cut it out together. Then came the sanding that she helped with. This year, instead of painting the car, Kailey decided to put on a body skin for pine derby cars, of an American Flag rippling in the wind on the car. It turned out way better than we expected. She was way excited and could not wait for the race.

I believe there were four heats and Kailey's car took a place in each race. However, there were some fast cars there, so overall Kailey's car took third place. (There was only a five hundredth of a second difference between second and third place) She was so excited to have won something this year. The competition also included best looking car design. Unfortunately, Kailey's car did not place, even though she was really hoping her car design would. Kailey was a great sport about the whole event and can not wait to participate in it again next year.

So this has never happened before and I was laughing so hard that I think I woke him up before I could snap anymore pictures.

We put the kids to bed all at the same time. We are very blessed to have pretty good kids and they usually go right to sleep. However, this night we were upstairs watching T.V. and we heard a door shut, which means someone is out of bed. We waited a few minutes cause the child usually comes upstairs to come talk to us. Well, like I said we waited and then we discovered this:Here he was sound asleep right next to the light on the computer in the toy room. He was so cute! Kids are so funny!

Then he saw the flash go off as I took the above picture, then looked up at me and said "Cheese", so I had to take another! LOL!

Oh Boy, it's a Boy!

Okay for those of you who know us, we did not want to know the sex of the baby. It is just more of a surprise for the both of us. We have decided this long ago and has been our choice for Tana and Chase.

So, we went in for our ultrasound on January 4th when I was 29 weeks along. The ultrasound tech was looking around at the baby, making measurements and then put it on the 3D look. (That is so cool to see.) The tech was moving around very quickly then Paul asked, "Is that his foot that we see?" (Mind you we did not know what it was, we just say "he") She responds with, "Yes, your seeing his foot here, and here is his legs then right here is his scrotum, then over here is his spine." What!? I, of course, was very shocked and looked right at Paul, who was literally grinning from ear to ear.

At first we were not going to reveal to anyone the sex of the baby, but it just got to hard. Plus, those of you who come to my house would of course figure it out sooner or later, cause of the preparations we would make in the baby's room.

My ultrasound DVD would not upload so this is the best we could do. It is amazing how much all of our kids look so much alike.So now the question that I get most is what is his name going to be. Well, we have a list going and are open to any suggestions to add to the list. However, no, we do not have a specific name picked out.

The pregnancy has been going just fine and currently I have less than 8 weeks left!

Shepherd Volunteer Fireman

As Paul has been very slow with work, he has taken on volunteering for the Shepherd Fire Department. After attending the required meetings and some training he was issued all of the equipment. He is very excited for this new expedition in his life. So far he has not had many calls to attend, but is looking forward to this new adventure.

Christmas 2009

Before Christmas, the girls reminded us that they needed to go see Santa. So we did, however, Chase was not as happy as they were, about seeing him.We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids were really excited with everything that they got. However, I think that Santa's gift to all of them was their favorite!

So we have had some really cold weather. One day there was a high of 3 degrees. So Paul thought it would be really cool to show the kids just how cold it was, just by throwing some water outside, it became snow!!

Thanksgiving in Montana

So this year we had the priviledge to have Paul's parents here from Arizona to celebrate Thanksgiving. Paul's mom cooked the whole meal and it was wonderful. It was quite relaxing and very enjoyous to spend time with them as they were heading back home the next day.

Little Boy's Nose + Bead

So about 10 days before Thanksgiving, Chase ran straight into the wall and hurt his nose. He continued to complain about his nose since then. Concerned that it was broken, we continued to keep a close eye on it. However, he continuously complaining of his nose and from time to time and his sleeping pattern became worse.

Therefore, the Monday before Thanksgivings I took him to the doctor. As the doctor started examing him he turned him around and asked me to look up his nose. And to my surprise there was something there; I said what is that! He said, we are about to see. It did not take much and there it was: a BEAD!! I was so embarassed. The doctor reassured me that this sort of thing happens more often than I know. Then he reminded me that he was TWO! And that this sort of thing will probably happen again! Yikes!!

Plus, the doctor did prescribe him an antibiotic as was fighting an infection. Anyways, he is perfectly fine now!

Thanksgiving Celebration with School

Kailey's class put on a little show for all of the parents yesterday. It was very cute and fun to see. Here is just a glimpse of it:

Then the teacher handed out awards for all the students. Kailey was recognized as a super student because she has improved greatly in reading and fluency. We are very proud of her and all of her hard work to get to where she is.

Tana and Chase did such a great job watching their big sister. Tana is really looking forward to school and has been working really hard at home with mommy! She amazes me at what she can do!!

Hunting Season

Paul has been looking forward to this year's hunting season, because his dad was going to be here, from Arizona. This year Paul's dad decided not to hunt, but to go with Paul as he hunts. They got up one early morning and headed out to the Little Belt Mountains for the hunt. They got there just as the sun was rising and were driving around and Paul spotted a deer about 100 yards away. With other hunters not far behind them, Paul decided to take a shot. With one hit to the chest, the deer went down. It took him a matter of 10 minutes to spot the deer and then Paul was home by lunch!! What a fun trip for the both of them! Yeah, we got meat for the next year!!

Halloween - 2009

The kids decorated their own pumpkin they got at the pumkin patch and then we finally carved our big pumkin on Halloween before going trick or treating. The girls really had a fun time helping daddy. Chase did not like the texture of the inside of the pumkin at all and I could not get a picture of him and his face, but it was really funny!

Then, we got all dressed up before heading out: Tana and Kailey were princesses and Chase was a lion. The weather was just right for our night out. Here they are all ready to head out for trick or treating.

Today Grammy took the kids and me to The Field of Dreams where they have some fun events for the harvest season. First we played some games . . . (ring tossing game)

When we got done with the hay ride, Paul and Grampy surprised us by showing up. (They had just driven back from their Men's Retreat, with Harvest Church.) Therefore, the kids were so excited to enjoy some games with them.

We got chickens!!

We have been wanting to have chickens for awhile now, however, we needed to have a home for them first. After Kailey started school, Paul has been slowly putting together a chicken coup in preparation for next spring. (In between everything else he was trying to accomplish before the cold weather.) As the process was happening, a friend of mine offered to give us some of her chickens once we were ready for them. Talk about motivation! Even though the coup is not completed, it is good enough for housing some chickens. Therefore, a few weeks back we called up my friend and she gladly gave us twelve chickens! Thanks Kathleen!

Well, the chickens were slow learners of how to get into the coup, cause our coup is completely different than Kathleen's. Therefore, you guessed it, we were chasing after chickens to catch them and put them into the coup for the night! Although, I laugh about it now, it is hard work.

Then we lost one on the second night of having them. We looked for her all over the place. She was gone for about six nights. We do not know where she went, but she came back!! The whole family was happy!

Now the chickens have learned how to get in the coup (for the most part) so our nights of putting them to bed are getting easier. They have been a success and have been giving us from five to ten eggs a day! Yeah!

The kids are so excited for their new chore of feeding the chickens and getting the eggs. They are looking forward to the spring time, when we plan on getting some baby chicks!

Kailey turns six!!

Yes our baby girl has turned another year older!! We were grateful to celebrate her birthday with a few friends. The momma was really sick this day and Daddy did a great job without her!! Thanks babe!

With our family growing and only four chairs that was suppose to be around the table (we managed to put more), we have been in the market for a bigger table for a while. So a few weeks back we purchased this table that seats eight!! (Thanks to our friends the Fulton Family! They were the ones who told us about the table.) It is great to be able to not only seat our whole family around the table comfortably, but we also have room for company!!

This is with the table being fully extended out with the leaves in. The best part about it is that the leaves fold up and hide right under the table!! No trying to find a hiding spot for those big and bulky leaves! We are loving it!!

Kailey's First Day of School

We headed out of Glacier National Park on Friday and headed to a big water park in Columbia falls. It was so very nice there as well as appropriate for all aged kids. (Thanks Nathan!)

Kailey went on all of the slides all by herself. Tana would go on a few but when it came to the bigger ones, she wanted mommy or daddy to go with her. Even Chase went down slides (with mommy or daddy, of course!).

After our fun in the park, we headed to Danette's house. She is a very close friend of ours who lives in Lakeside (very close to Flathead Lake). It was so nice to see her, it has been to long. After she showed us around her beautiful home, fed us, and then we hit the sack!

The girls thought it was so cool to play in a tree house in Danette's back yard.

The next morning Danette took us to see a boat show down by the lake and then it was not long after that that we were back on the road heading home. Thanks Danette for all of your hospitality! Actually we were going to Seeley Lake for the night.

We lucked out because it looked like we got the last spot open in the campground. Whew! Anyways, once we were set up, we went swimming for a little while and then had a campfire.

We got up early the next morning (Sunday) to actually go home. There was a long drive ahead of us and we got all the way to Bozeman, MT, and then (we now know) we blew a head gasket in the truck. We pulled over and it was not long that a nice police officer helped us out. He called a tow truck and got us on our way. We took the truck and camping trailer to the dealership and then rented a car to get home. Why? Cause Kailey's first day of school was the next day!! Thank God, we all made it home in one piece that night!!

Vacation in Glacier National Park - Apgar

So come Thursday morning we got up and moved our camper from St. Mary's to Apgar, which is on then other side of the park. We were lucky and got a very nice spot to set up our camper, which was just walking distance to Lake McDonald.

Once we got all set up we headed down to the lake. It was so very beautiful with the such clear water. We decided to rent a boat for an hour and go out on the lake just for fun. It took a little while for the girls to get used to the boat, but Chase had no problem!!

After our boat ride, we took a LONG drive through the Login pass. It was so long because of the road construction that was going on. It was a nice drive and gave the kids a chance for a nap before our next stop.

We got to a little walk to an overlook of a mountain and we found a mountain goat just tucked in the side of the mountain behind us. It is amazing how those animals are able to climb the way they do.

Vacation in Glacier National Park - St. Mary

So we got up early Wednesday morning and started on our drive to St. Mary's Campground. It was a short drive and what beautiful scenes! Words escape me of how to describe such a beautiful area.

We parked our camping trailer and then we were on our way toward Logan's Pass Visitor's Center, we drove right by St. Mary's Lake. We had to stop and just marvel at how clear the water was.

Once we got to the visitor's center, we took another mile and a half (3 miles round trip)hike toward Hidden Lake. They had built a "Board Walk" for all of the visitors to walk on in order to preserve the rest of the area. We climbed so many stairs on the "Board Walk" till we got to Hidden Lake Overlook. This hike is well known for seeing mountain goats and big horned sheep. We saw both, but was only able to photograph the mountain goats. In fact, the mountain goats were right on the path we were. There was even a momma and her baby. She finally moved just enough for me to snap a picture.

Here it is, we finally made it to the overlook of Hidden Lake. What a gorgeous site. We stopped for some snacks and drinks. I think the kids had more fun with feeding the little chipmunks than taking in the scenery.

As we were making our drive back to our campsite. We made several stops; here is one of the 26 remaining glaciers that still exist today called Jackson Glacier.

Then we made another stop for quick hike to St. Mary's Falls. Only 1.6 miles round trip. This one did not seem nearly as long, even Chase wanted to walk a little. We arrived only to see a few young people jumping in the water off of the bridge over the falls. The water was really cold I do not see how they did it. However, the water was so blue.

After that we drove just a little down the road to see Sunrift Gorge. It was so cool to see.

After all that, we were all bushed and made our way back to our camping trailer for dinner, then bedtime.

Vacation in Glacier National Park - Many Glacier

It has been a very long time since we took a family vacation and so we decided (a very last minute decision) to go to Glacier National Park.

After a friend's suggestion (Thanks Danette), the first day we decided to camp at Many Glacier. We arrived there on a very late Monday night.

Then Tuesday morning we got up and started out on a one and a half mile hike to Red Rock Falls. It was beautiful weather, not to hot and not to cold.

Shortly on our hike back to our campsite, there were a few gentleman with spotting scopes set up and they were looking across the valley at the other mountain. So we stopped and discovered they were watching a hand full of grizzly bears (in different areas). They were kind enough to let us look through their scopes. Unfortunately we were unable to take any pictures cause of the distance. However, I would rather see a grizzly from that distance! LOL! It looked like there was a momma and her two cubs, but the cubs weren't little anymore. Then we saw a few more scattered in different places.

Further on our journey back from Red Rock Falls, other on-coming hikers were telling us that there was a family of moose down at the Fishtail Lake. Just a little walk off of the trail from Red Rock Falls, not far from our campsite. It was really cool to see all of them. It seemed like he was showing off for all of the visitors.

This picture isn't the best, but there is a elk right in the middle. We thought it might be a bear, but after looking closer at the picture closer on the computer, we discovered that it was an elk.

So after lunch and just some down time we went to explore the Many Glacier Lodging. There is a lake for all to view from the lodge. It was very interesting to walk around and see the many pictures of the history in just this area.

Right after taking the picture above we drove just a few seconds down the street and spotted a black bear. I tried zooming in as much as I could and this is the best that I could do.

What a beautiful camping area and definitely going to be a family favorite for a long while.

Summer Gymnastics

This summer the girls enjoyed one day a week in gymnastics. Kailey was enrolled in Level 1 and did very well. She is still working on some skills to be able to move up to Level 2.

Tana loved her gymnastics. She showed her instructor many of her strengths! They both are very sad that gymnastics are over for the summer, maybe next summer.

Camping in West Rosebud

We went on another camping trip with the Fulton Family. This time we went to West Rosebud in Custer National Park. We had a great time!

While we were there we enjoyed some campfires and went on a six mile hike to Mystic Lake! Way to go kids for doing such a great job on such a long hike!! And to Paul who was the tail of the line who carried Chase the entire hike UP! However, it was a well worth hike to such a beautiful site of Mystic Lake.

While there, we skipped rocks, ate lunch, but mostly rested for the long hike back! LOL!

Summer Swim Lessons

This summer we signed the girls for swim lessons. Kailey was a "Jellyfish" and Tana was a "Sunfish". Both the girls did a great job and succeeded to move up to the next level.

Hyalite Reservoir in Bozman

We went camping again! This time we went to Hyalite Reservoir right outside of Bozman. It was pouring down raining when we arrived, so again I have to say, we are loving the camping trailer!

The next day we were off taking hikes to the falls that were all around us. They were beautiful and very accessible. The first hike we went to the Palisade Falls. The hike was about a quarter of a mile and the kids had lots of fun exploring the area. The girls were so excited to discover some little caves there.

After lunch and a much needed nap, we went on our next hike to Grotto Falls. This hike was about a mile long and again had easy access. The kids were wanting to go swimming in the river, so we allowed them to put on their swim suits, just in case they were brave enough to get in the water at the falls. Surprisingly they both went in!! It was really funny cause they would just sit in the water shivering, but insisted they were not cold enough to get out!

Number Four!

Yes, it is official, we are pregnant with number four!! By my calculations our due date is March 20, 2010. We are no longer the Ferguson Five; now what will we call ourselves?! LOL!

Paul was so very sweet by coming home with a dozen roses! Thanks, Big Guy, I love you!

The girls were so very excited when we told them the news.

Tana who is our family joker, ran straight into my arms, hugged me very tightly, looked up at me and asked "Are joking mommy?" Then when I told her that I was telling the truth she said, "Good! I am so excited!"

After all of the hugs from both of the girls, Kailey asked for details of how I knew I was pregnant. Soon after our explanation, she excitedly told of one of our friends, "My mommy's pregnant! Cause there were two lines on the pregnancy test". LOL!

A visit from Grandparents

Camping in the Snowy Mountains

After the Thomas the Train event, we headed off camping for the weekend with the Fulton family. The Fulton' s had already had the perfect spot for all of us to enjoy camping in the snowy mountains.

We are loving our new camping trailer. It is so easy and fast to set up camp now; much more time to enjoy with our family in the outdoors!

We played some outdoor games, went on a few hikes and of course enjoyed a campfire at night!

Tana and Braxton just hanging out together.West Fork Timber Creek is the trail we went on. It was very beautiful to see! All of the kids did a fantastic job on this hike considering it was over a three mile hike.
Thanks to some friends of ours, we were able to carry Chase on our back in the baby pack. He loved it!

Thomas the Train

The Billings Depot in Billings, Montana had Thomas the Train come and celebrate their 100th birthday! It was really awesome to see. Our family got to go on a train ride for the very first time! (Not exactly, Paul has been fortunate to have ridden in a train as a child) The girls were really excited and had lots of fun. Chase loved saying "Cho-cho!" It was a great family outing!

Harvest Church puts on an annual fourth of July event called Celebrate Freedom. They have fun festivities for the whole family!!

The Fulton Family met up with us. Jim took on Paul at the same kind of game as above, however, you could not take any head shot on this one. Thanks Jim for getting him back for me! Yup, Jim won. With that being said, I took on Jasa, and I was mistaken by saying I got my booty kick by Paul, cause I took a beaten from Jasa! Kinda glad to no pictures were taken of my pitiful game playing! LOL! Good game Jasa! As you see the storm cloud brewing in the above picture, it just down poured shortly afterwards. The rain blew away in time for all of us to see the beautiful display of fireworks!!

No pictures were taken cause our hands were literally full! Since the grass was still wet, Kailey crawled up in Paul's lap and Tana and Chase crawled up in my lap to watch the firework display. The girls stayed awake through it all. Chased tried very hard to, but could not make it and was out soon after the fireworks started.

Look No Training Wheels

Tana has finally gotten enough will to ride her bike without training wheels! Yeah!! After witnessing a friend (who is younger than her) ride his bike without training wheels, and after some encouragement, she finally agreed to taking them off. Way to go Tana!

First Camping Trip of the Summer

Well, with the purchase of our new camping trailer, we had to take it out, right away!! LOL! We took it to Red Lodge, Montana for a weekend (close enough, just in case something happened on our first trip).

As we arrived there it was pouring down rain! Good thing for the camping trailer. Paul leveled it out and we were golden, in a matter of minutes! We were able to escape the rain and hang out with the family for the night!

We enjoyed playing catch, a camp fire, plus the kids had a nice trail to ride their bikes! Even Shadow got to enjoy this camping trip with us.

Yes, we did! We finally got a camping trailer that accommodates our whole family!! We have been praying for this for years and have finally made that purchase. We love to camp and make several different camping trips every summer. And now, this will make it SO much easier! Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you Fathers!! But mostly to my dear husband who really deserves this day. Paul, you are a wonderful Dad and mean so very much to each and every one of our children. They look up to you so much and miss you every day that you are at work! I appreciate all the things you do for me and this family. I love you, Big Guy!

On Father's Day, Paul got to celebrate it with his own dad, which has not happen in years!! Just the two of them went target shooting in the morning. Then later on that day, we went to Harvest Church for their annual Car Show and burn out.

Wild Bill's Museum

On our way home from the Yellowstone National Park we stopped at Wild Bill's Museum in Cody, Wyoming. There was so much to take in, that just the few hours that we were there, was not enough time to see everything.

As the boys were still looking at the gun section of the museum, which was a building full of them. We took a break outside.
Everyone had to take a picture on the saddle!!
This made me laugh so hard. As we were getting near done, there is this map exhibit on the ground. The girls started pretending they were flying all over the areas as they ran and crawled all around and guess who was following right behind them?! Yes, Chase! He was even making the sounds they were. A few family pictures!

Yellowstone National Park

The second weekend in June we took a trip to Yellowstone National Park (Yes, it has been a long while since my last update! LOL!). Paul's parents were driving up from Arizona to meet us there to camp for a few days before coming up here for their long awaited visit.

While driving into the park, we drove past three black bears, a big horned sheep and some younger ones, a lot of buffalo and many other fun animals. And where was my camera?! Packed!! The girls had a lot of fun following along on their checklist of animals that the ranger gave them upon arrival.

We camped in Yellowstone for a few nights with Paul's folks close to the Yellowstone Lake.

Smores for dessert every night!!! Yummy!!Even though it was very very cold at night, he slept very well! Do you see him snuggling with his little "teddy", I think that is so very cute! It has been replaced with a new "teddy" that Grammy and Grampy bought for him from the park! Thanks guys, he loves it!

The first morning Paul's parents treated us to a boat tour of the park. The kids had a blast, however, it was a very foggy morning, therefore, I did not get any good pictures to share, besides this beautiful one of the foggy mountains.Another day we went to Old Faithful and stopped along the way at the hot springs along the lake.

This little chipmunk was very entertaining for all of us. It didn't seem to be bothered by all of us just watching him eat. The kids just loved seeing something so small and cute.
It was amazing to me how far down I could see.
The next day we went and visited the falls and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. All of us took the hike to the lower falls, not expecting it to be very long! Boy, were we wrong!! However, all of us survived! And it was worth it!!

Paul who was born and raised in Arizona has never heard of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, so it was cool to go see. Plus, it was a tangible walk!!
We think this is a wolf! This was the only good picture I could get of him and this is with my zoom all the way out!The kids never got sick of pointing out the buffalo. It was neat to see so many.I zoomed out as much as I could!! This was a herd of elk we saw from the road.

I love seeing God's glory on this earth!

We also went to see the mud volcanoes, quite interesting. I did learn that the reason why there were so many dead trees around this area, was because of the very hot temperature the mud volcanoes are.
This was called Dragon's mouth in the mud volcanoes. You could hear the water splashing in the "mouth", as the steam rolled out.Through out the whole trip the girls worked very hard on their "homework" to earn their Junior Ranger patch. They even got to wear a "real" ranger hat!!

Kailey Graduates Kindergarten

Last week Kailey enjoyed her last day of school, then later that night our family enjoyed a night of her Kindergarten Class graduating.

We enjoyed dinner together and then proceeded with some entertainment. The class entertained us with singing and dancing. My favorite was "Five monkeys jumping on the bed" song. Then the Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Price, continued the night by sharing with us a little part of our child. She shared that Kailey is a prayer warrior and that at the beginning of the school year the teacher knew Kailey's favorite color was blue. After that she handed out their diplomas. It was a great night!Of course the night ended with tackling the teacher to the floor! LOL!

A Day Well Spent

The Fulton Family invited us to go camping with them in Forsyth, Montana, right off of the Yellowstone River. However, we could not go for the whole weekend, but did go and spend the day with them and their family.

We recently have started our sprinklers in our yard and the girls have been patiently waiting to run through them. The weather was just right over the weekend and I failed to get any pictures. Mother's Day Celebration

So it was Saturday morning and Paul was sleeping in and I was up with all the kids, keeping quiet downstairs. The kids were playing nicely so I decided to get a jump on the book keeping for the business. As I was gathering all of the receipts, I saw one on the counter top and proceeded to pick it up. At just a glance, I ruined my own surprise! Yes, Paul and the kids got me a card and a gift! So I got it all early!! I can not wait to plant it!And here is what Kailey made for me in school! It was great! She has been growing this in her class for a few month now. Then one day the class went to Chameleons for the day and she got to paint a coffee mug (a hot coco mug for me! LOL!).
This year we celebrated Mother's Day at one of my favorite places to go, "The Reef". It was a blast. Surprisingly, not a lot of people were there. It took Chase a little while to enjoy himself in the water, but when he did, he did not want to leave.

Just got my ears pierced

For years now the girls have talked to me about earrings. Recently they have really shown a lot of interest for their own earrings. After discussing it with daddy and then witnessing someone else getting their ear's pierced, Kailey decided to follow through with getting them. She picked out the earrings she wanted. Who would have guessed, they were blue (if you didn't know, that is her FAVORITE color!). Daddy sat her in the stool and she said, "I'm so excited, I'm about to cry!" With mommy in one hand and daddy in the other, as well as a bear in her lap, she was set and ready to go. There were two people piercing at the same time (wish they did that for me when I was a kid!). Three, two, one and in they went. Kailey did not even flinch! She really impressed us.

Tana was not yet ready and says, "Maybe when I'm as big as Kailey, maybe I'll get earring like her."

Awanas

2008-2009 Awana's has ended. We had an awards night where the girls got their year end awards for all of their hard work through out the year. They really loved every night of it and are looking forward to going again next year.

Kailey's First T-Ball Game

Kailey had her first T-Ball Game April 21st. She had a blast and did a great job.

Strike one! She hit the ball on her next swing and hit it pretty far!Running to her base.
She got to be the catcher, it's just so cute seeing her with all of that gear on.Chase spotted daddy taking pictures and kept following him around saying "Cheese", and who could walk away without taking a picture of him?!
Now that we have been to a few T-Ball games, Tana has now asked when she can play. Well, she makes the cut off and could possibly play next year. She was really excited.

Campfire with the Fulton's

We have a campfire pit in our backyard and have been anticipating nicer weather to have a fire. Well, it finally happened a few weeks ago with our friends, the Fulton family. We had pizza and then headed out to the fire pit to cook some smores! Yum!

However, I think some of the little kids enjoyed just eating the separate parts of the smores, like just the chocolate, or even just the marshmallows! They were happy, that's all that matters!

Easter Fun

We love celebrating our good Lord taking away our sins and rising from the dead. The Saturday before Easter Sunday we went to our church's Easter Egg hunt. The weather was beautiful! Can you see all of the little plastic Easter eggs, filled with candy?There were lots of people and all of our kids were eagerly anticipating the countdown to the hunt! When it did happen the girls did a great job all by themselves. Chase and Mommy went to the toddler section where the parents could assist. However, in Chase's case, he did not need any help and did a great job! Then the hunt was over and he discovered candy in the eggs, wow, was he thrilled!

Here you can see the anticipation Chase had with going on the jumping ride. This is probably what he was saying in his mind: "I'm a big boy now!"
Kailey really wanted to go up the rock climbing wall, but she had on a dress, so maybe next year! (plus the line was extremely long!)

First T-Ball Practice

Kailey just had her first T-Ball practice on Tuesday. She has been anticipating this for a long time and now the time was here! We arrived right on time and with much excitement she ran right out onto the field. With not knowing what to expect, she found out that she knew most of her teammates. Which by the way all of her teammates are girls!! Yeah, an all girl team of nine (so far). Kailey is so excited and can not wait till her next practice!

Yes, while Kailey plays, Tana and Chase cheer her on. Tana has actually made a friend, whose big sister is also on the same team! Fun!

A day at the park

Rockets

What rockets? Okay, we were flying a kite the other weekend and Paul remembered how fun it was as a kid setting off rockets. So after mommy and daddy spent some time putting them all together; then came the time everyone was waiting for!

We went down to the bottom of our property and had the count down. The girls were so excited and had lots of fun tracking them down after their descend. We did have to go knock on the farmer behind us cause one of the rockets landed right in the middle of his cow field. It was a lot of fun to be out doors and enjoy these moments with the kids!

Hot Wheels & Pine Derby Race

Tana was entered into a Hot Wheels race with her Cubbies class. Tana was very excited to go and race her little Lightning McQueen race car. Okay, it was really Chase's car! Her car was not the fastest, but she still got a ribbon for participating. She was so excited!Kailey entered into a pine derby race with her Sparks class. With daddy's assistance, they came up with a design. Daddy cut it out and Kailey helped sand it, paint it (blue her favorite color) and put glitter on it. After it all dried, she put flower stickers all over it!

Then it was off to the races. She was so excited to race. There were 26 heats with 4 cars racing in each heat. Kailey's car raced in approximately 5 heats. The top three fastest cars got trophies and then there were judges that placed the top three best designs. She did very well for her first pine derby; however she did not place in any of the top three. Plus, she was a great sport about it. Mommy & Daddy now know what to expect at these races.

Overall, it was a lot of fun! Chase had fun watching the cars race and cheered on everyone! Can't wait till next year!

Chasing after God

Here at the Ferguson house, we like to pray at all times of the day. Well, Chase has caught on! When Pastor Vern (at Harvest Church), dedicated Chase, I loved his comment of his name and it has stuck in my own prayers for him. His comment was Chase is a symbolism for Chasing after God and God's heart.

Chase has also learned to put his right hand on his heart as we say our Pledge of Allegiance at Kailey's school. I have failed to take a picture of this, but it is very cute!

We went for his 18 month check up last month. He weighs 25 pounds and 13 ounces (in the 50% for his age), his length is 33 1/8 inches long (in the 75% for his age), and his head is at 18 3/4 inches round (in the 50% for his age). He is doing very well all around. The doctor also suggested that he no longer have a pacifier, as his two front teeth were not coming down to their full capacity. It was just the excuse I needed to hear, as I have been wanting to break him of it anyways. Well, the first few days were a little troubling, but all is well now, and he is doing great without it! Yeah! Wow, he growing up so fast!

Spring Home Improvement Show of 2009

Paul rented a booth for the Spring Home Improvement Show for some advertisement with his business. He was able to get the deck display donated by Bloedorn Lumber and the fire pit donated by Home Depot! The little house display was what Paul built for last years show, and was pulled out of retirement for this show. Paul and Bob (one of Paul's employees) did a great job on the display! They were able to get a few leads and are following up on those this week and next week.

Awana's Game Day

Saturday, Kailey participated (for the first time) in the Sparkie's Game Day. Different Awana Clubs gather (there were four different teams) and compete against each other in a variety of events. A lot of fun for everyone. Our Shepherd Team was joined up with the Lockwood Team.

Chase's New Hair Cut

All of the kids were playing nicely downstairs, as I was upstairs. This occurrs often through-out the day. As I came to check on them, this afternoon, I discovered Chase's hair had been cut. And I was NOT a very happy mommy at that moment in time. Kailey right away admitted her guilt and Tana also contributed to the offense. (Kailey cut while Tana held him) So once mommy and daddy were together to further investigate, as to WHY this happened. Kailey said Chase's hair was in his eyes, so she decided to cut it.

Ready for Summer

Yes, our boy has been different than the girls, at this age. I do remember the girls getting into the usual cubboard to play with the pots and pans. Not only is Chase doing that, but he also gets out my mop and broom and sweeps my floors; he climbs up on EVERYTHING, chairs, tables, our wood stack, and even daddy's air compressor!! Plus he loves getting into things, cubboards, laundry basket, and toy boxes. These are just to name a few things he does. He really is just having lots of fun.

When the weather is nice out, he loves going outside and playing on the playset. He is able to go up the ladder and then slide down on the slide, all by himself. He is quite proud of himself and this accomplishment, that he goes running to do it again and again. I have to tell him that it is snack time to come in, otherwise he is not a happy boy! Gotta love him!!

Valentine's Party

Kailey's class had a party today for Valentine's. It was a lot of fun. Tana was really excited, cause she got to do everything with Kailey's class.

The only thing Paul wanted to do on his birthday was for me to cut his hair. Well, this is not what I had in mind, but again it is not my birthday! He still looks very young and handsome!

Okay, I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but he has chipped his two front teeth. The only situation I can think of is this: Yesterday, while putting the girls to bed, Chase tripped over a toy he had in his hands and fell face first onto our tile floor. All I noticed, at that moment, was that he bit his bottom lip. The sad thing is that I didn't discover his chipped teeth until this morning while feeding him some cereal. I feel really bad!

The Reef

Okay, so it's December and we live in Montana where it is snowing. Now, we see God's blessing in all of this snow that we have been getting. Plus, we really like playing out in it. However, it is really nice to escape every now and then. Therefore, we went to a new water park, "The Reef", for a family outting this weekend.

It was great! Words are escaping me now of how excited the girls were. The expression on their precious little faces were priceless. You see, we told the girls we had a surprise for them and it was not revealed to them until we pulled up and parked, as they saw the big hug slides coming out of the building then back in, as you see here.

Here are a few pictures I took of what was inside. There were an assortment of water slides and spray area, a wave pool, hot tub, a play pool with side pool with floaters that you can try to walk across on.

We really tried hard at snapping pictures, but as I look at them now, we really could have done a better job. We are really blessed have been able to endure ourselves in this outting.

White Christmas

So we are in our 7th year living in Montana and it was the first white Christmas. The first ever for Paul and the kids. On Christmas Day we watched some movies that we had gotten, Had pizza for dinner and played with our toys ( OK, mom and dad played with the kids toys!). The day after Christmas we went sledding on our back hill.

There was so much snow we had no problem getting over the cat tails.

12 inches to be exact! Chase was a little to hard to bring back up the hill so he and dad started clearing of the drive way. Wow that is a lot of snow to move!!!!!

Visiting Santa

We went to Red Lodge last night to enjoy their small town Christmas Parade/Celebration. It was so cool. The town shut down their main street and had a little snow plow parade with Santa (Sorry we were ten minutes late and missed the whole thing! LOL! Small town remember! LOL!). The street is then open for all walkers to stroll up and down to shop, plus there was kettle corn, hot coco, carolers, a band, horse carriage rides and several fire pits. The girls were so excited to see Santa. Tana acted a little shy, but was sure to tell him what she wanted for Christmas.

Yes, we were the one of those people that put up their Chirstmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. We really love doing it. All of the kids enjoyed helping in all of the docorating. Here some pictures of our Christmas decorations.

Christmas Program

Friday, Kailey had a Christmas Choir Program with her school. It was so cute to see all of them perform their songs. They even had jingle bells in their hands as they were singing.

And here is one of the two new members of her class, yes, a class-pet. The names are to be announced. Each student is able to make up two names that will be put into a bag, then out of those names, the teacher will draw a winner for each of the guinea pigs.

Fireplace Completion

YEAH!!! Paul just finished up all of the drywall on Sunday. He did a great job. I am so happy to finally dust! Silly?! The mirror is a (very long) temporary placement for a flat screen. However, we are a long way from that purchase.

Black Friday Nap

So innocently sleeping. Black Friday really wore him out! Just kidding, he did not even go out of the house that day. We did have a fifteen month check up just today and he weighs twenty-four pounds, one ounce (in the 50%), with a length of thirty-one and a quarter inches (in the 60%). His head is eighteen and a half inches round (in the 40%). He does have a fluid in his ears, but there is no infection, so please keep him in your prayers, as this has been a problem in the past. Over all he is doing great and a very happy baby boy!

Thanksgiving Event

Kailey's class put on a Thanksgiving Event on November 25th before the Thanksgiving Break. Her whole class got up in front of all of the parents and third and fourth graders and said a cute Thanksgiving poem:

It was very cute to see all of the kids up there reciting this poem and they all did very well!

After that we all gathered around and ate a Thanksgiving Lunch together. And story time to end with. It was all very enjoyable!

Pajama Day

It was pajama day at school! (November 7th) Kailey was so excited and even picked out the pajamas she wanted to wear, the night before. They even got to bring a their own pillow and blanket, as you can see her favorite is her Little Mermaid blanket. Kailey also brought her baby that she sleeps with every night.

Awana's Award Night

This is award night at Awana Cubbies November 5th (yes, running a little behind on my blog). Tana received her first set of patches to put on her vest. She was really excited and more so now that they are on her vest.

Kailey is now in Awana Sparks and she is receiving her first earned jewel.

Paul went hunting yesterday and got a 150 # 4 by 4 Mule Deer. The day started @ 5am with heavy fog till noon. Fog lifted and by 3 pm paul got his deer. This deer was a moving target and pauls first shot got its rear hoof. Not having a 4th leg to stand on did not slow down this one he ran about a mile and a half. we found him after some leg work and put him down. Thanks to jimmy for showing me some land to hunt on in forsyth, mt.

My Centerpiece

Earlier this week, the girls were outside playing in the leaves. Then they came in to give me a bundle of leaves that they liked. I really love their giving hearts and wanted to show them how much I loved it, so I bundled them all up and stuck it into my napkin holder. Then I added the pumpkins they picked at the Pumpkin Patch, which gave it the right touch for the season. It is now our centerpiece whenever we eat!

Look, no training wheels!

So Kailey got all of her protective gear to ride her bike for her birthday. She really likes riding it up and down our long driveway and racing with Tana. She has been riding her bike without training wheels for a while now, but always wanted mommy or daddy there to help her get on the bike and go. Well, today I lowered her bike seat and the results were great. She still is practicing the "lift off", but no longer requires one of us to be there for her! She is very proud of herself and can not wait till she can ride to one of her friend's house.

It was so nice today that if felt like spring. That is Montana weather! We had lots of fun today enjoying every moment of this warm weather, cause I am sure that it won't last.

Harvest Party

Kailey's school had a Harvest Party on Friday. It was a lot of fun. We got to make a Halloween bandanna, decorate our own cookies then eat them, and then decorate a sucker for Halloween to give away to a friend.Chase, being stimulated by all of the fun stuff around him, was keeping me busy by trying to keep up after him.

Tana's Jammys

Last weekend Paul asked Tana to go get her pajamas on for the night. So a little while later she comes up looking like this. Now Tana has a great personality that just make you laugh a lot. She is the one who likes to play pranks on us parents. Like locking us out of the house or hiding before we come up the stairs. She just is a happy kid and loves making us smile! Now she would have wore this to bed if we let her.

Pumpkin Patch

Okay a little late on blogging this but in October we went to a pumpkin patch with my MOPS (Mother's Of PreSchoolers) group. Everyone had lots of fun. The girls got to go through a maze and pick out their own pumpkins. Then they got to play lots of games to win candy. Lastly, we all went on a hay ride! Chase was so fasinated by the pumpkins that were small enough for him to sit on and climb all over!

This was Chase's favorite game. He just had a blast and giggled the whole time!

Prayers

I know everyone has something going on in there life that they could use prayer for. Sometimes its an emotion and sometimes it is pain. With Elisabeth, it is Physical pain. She has 2 herniated discs in her neck. We went to see the doctors and there is a couple of procedures that can be done to relieve her pain. Since the appointment her pain has gotten worse. She can no longer sleep well and mornings seem to be her worst time of day. She is a very tough woman and has a high pain tolerance. I know she does not want sympathy, so i will ask for your prayers for her. Pray that the pain will Decrease until the surgery. Prey that the pain does not get worse. Jesus can heal anyone. Sometimes the answer is yes, no, or not right now. But we must give him a chance to heal her and at the least........Ask.

Civil Emergency

And the snow just keeps coming. A Civil Emergency has been issued for us. What does that mean? STAY HOME! To many people have been getting stuck in the snow, and not enough emergency services to get them out.

Kailey is trying to catch the snow flakes with her bug catcher.

Gotta enjoy a nice hot cup of hot coco after all of that playing in the snow. Yea, Tana has learned to wink!!

Got snow?!

It started snowing Friday night and has kept snowing since. Saturday morning the girls were very anxious to go out and play in it. They lasted about forty minutes, just playing and eating the fresh laid snow. In past years, they did not even make it ten minutes! Plus they even shook our baby trees, as they have not lost all of their leaves yet.

Tana lost her gloves, not a good thing. She survived and went right back out.

Yes, they are eating snow. This is just one battle that I can not fight, just teach them the right kind of snow to eat.

Update on the Fireplace

As of Friday, the installers have completed three out of the four vents. Over the weekend we will be installing the front stonework.

Okay, it has been really driving Paul crazy to have Chase's hair as long as it was. But he allowed it to be that long, just for his twelve month pictures. And now that has been taken care of, Paul took his first opportunity to do just as he envisioned . . . BUZZZZZZZZZ!!!!

Wow, it is crazy that just a simple hair cut can make this little one look so much older!

A Day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo today with Kailey's Kindergarten class. She had lots of fun and loved to be with her classmates discovering the animals as they come out of hiding.

The "dancing porcupine" was a big hit. It was standing up on it's back legs literally rocking back and forth, dancing. The kids just loved it! Tana even started dancing with it.

Kailey Turns Five!!

This year we asked Kailey where she would like to celebrate her birthday. She responded way to quickly with "Chuck E. Cheese!" So that is exactly what we did. We invited a few of her close friends and had a blast.

One morning when Kailey was about three years old she was watching Seseme Street and it was an episode with Elmo playing different instruments. Since then she has been asking for a guitar and a violin. We finally thought that she was old enough to take care of one, so we got her a guitar for her birthday this year and she LOVES IT! We as parents do not have a clue how to play, but that does not seem to stop her!

Kailey was also able to celebrate her birthday with her Kindergarten Classmates. She decided to wear her "Birthday Girl" crown, which made her feel like a true princess!
